It is rare that I get obsessed with a band or a musician. Soon I won’t be able to help myself. I am looking forward to buying my copy of the self-titled Them Crooked Vultures debut album which will be released on Nov 17th. The band/rock supergroup is comprised of Dave Grohl (I am definitely obsessed with Nirvana, who isn’t?), vocalist and guitarist Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age has been my ultimate favorite band for quite some time now and keyboardist/bassist John Paul Jones from Led Zeppelin (my husband’s fav). Alain Johannes from Queens of the Stone Age) is also featured in the band as a live rhythm guitarist.

This album has got to be good! (I also love the aesthetic of the vulture head.) New Fang sounds like QOTSA, but when you look at the lineup, it makes sense.The composition of the band is basically QOTSA but with John Paul Jones added to the lineup. However, I have heard that their sound definitely parts from QOTSA, although to me, it probably won’t matter. I love them already.
No tour dates are listed for NY on their website. If anyone hears any different, do enlighten me.
We already mised their NY date. It was the same day as the Gaslight Anthem show & we already had tickets for that… I still love GA but i would have rather seen Dave Grohl than get my head pummeled. Let’s go to Europe to see them :)
